Raiders in Action

Honoring Students for Making a Difference in Our Community

Raiders in Action is a CRHS PTSA-sponsored service program that recognizes and rewards students for volunteering in the community. All students are encouraged to join CRHS PTSA and participate in Raiders in Action.

Mission: To raise awareness of the community’s needs, encourage student service, and provide information to students who wish to serve as volunteers in Round Rock and the surrounding areas.

Vision: To have every student volunteer with non-profit organizations.

Goal: For students to give back to their community, learn they can be responsible for making great things happen, and learn that the time they spend can have an impact and make a difference. 

Recognition: Students who complete 80 hours of service over the course of their high school career will be recognized with a silver Community Service Cord at graduation.

​How to JOIN Raiders in Action

1. Complete and sign the Raiders in Action Contract.

   • Note: All signatures must be handwritten and not typed.

2. Submit the contract through our Raiders in Action Google Submission Form.

3. Check your Class Log to ensure that you have been added to the list.

   • The Class Logs can be found in the "RiA Hours: Members Only" section of the PTSA website.

   • Please allow one week (possibly longer during school holidays) for this information to be added into the system.

How to SUBMIT Your Volunteer Hours To Raiders in Action:

1. Print our Raiders in Action Volunteer Verification Form (V Form).

2. Take the V Form with you when you volunteer.

   • Fill out the form completely - all boxes should be completed.

   • If you have any questions about which volunteer activities are eligible for the Raiders in Action program, please see our Guidelines or email raidersinaction@cedarridgeptsa.org.

3. Take a photo of yourself at the volunteer site.

4. Get the V Form signed by one of the activity sponsors. *Family members cannot verify your hours. If a family member is the activity sponsor, you must find another supervising adult to sign the form.

5. Submit the completed V Form and photos through our Google Submission Form.

   • You may wait until you have multiple volunteer activities completed on the form before submitting or you may submit the form with a single entry.

   • Please pay attention to our suggested submission deadlines:

     • Fall Hours - January 10, Spring Hours - July 10, Summer Hours - September 10

     • Final Senior Deadline - April 1 of your senior year

6. Check your Class Log to ensure that your hours have been accurately recorded.

   • The Class Logs can be found in the "RiA Hours: Members Only" section of the PTSA website.

   • Please allow one week (possibly longer during school holidays) for this information to be added into the system.

TIPS:

• Check out our Volunteer Page. Most of the events are outside of CRHS and you are responsible for contacting each event directly to arrange your volunteer time.

• Raiders in Action will no longer make exceptions for activities that bring in money for a group/club in which you are a member.  These are still important and worthwhile volunteer hours that may be noted on job, college, military, etc applications, but they cannot be used toward Raiders in Action hours.
