Teacher Appreciation Week

For Cedar Ridge High School, we honor all of our staff members during Teacher Appreciation Week! Thank you for your donations and volunteer time during our 3 days of celebrations!

Monday, 4-28-25: SNACK ATTACK, staff members were able to fill a bag of their favorite snack items to get them through the coming testing weeks!

Wednesday, 4-30-25: PTSA Members ONLY Mailbox Treat, we gave a little something to all of our 2025-26 PTSA Staff Members! It PAYS to be a member of PTSA!

Friday, 5-2-25: Staff Breakfast, staff members were offered breakfast tacos, donuts, fruit, juice, water, and cold brew coffee

Principal's Day

Dr. Shawn Miller showered with appreciation on Thursday, May 1st with a Favorites Package! What are some of his favorites? Coca Cola, Italian Food and Stabucks!

We are thankful to have Dr. Miller at our campus, leading the way with support to our teachers, staff, students, and parents. He's been a wonderful addition to our community!

The Clothes Closet

Front Door Safety

Your PTSA wants to remind all students and parents that the only visitor entrance to the school is through the front door. For the safety of all of our students and staff, we are asking parents to remind their students that side doors and back entrances are never for visitors. Please do not let adults in doors behind yourself. Please follow our safety guidelines every single time! Thank you!

SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES

Blackland Prairie Elementary

One time scholarship in the amount of $1,000 for a former BPE student, graduating from a RRISD High School in May 2025. Students must be enrolled in a qualified 4 year university, or 2 year technical or trade school. Scholarship funds will be paid directly to the attended program and not to the individual recipient. APPLY HERE

* Must have attended Blackland Prairie Elementary for a minimum of 3 years
* Student will graduate May 2025 with a minimum GPA of 3.0 from a RRISD High School
* Student must be a current member of their High School PTSA
* Student must be accepted to an accredited college, university, or trade school for the summer or fall following graduation from their high school.

* Incomplete or illegible applications will not be considered.

* Additional information, other than the application, will NOT be reviewed.

Winner will be announced no later than 04/16/2025 and presented at the General PTA meeting 4/23/2025.

S.N.A.C.K. Donation Drive

Cedar Ridge PTSA provides a program called S.N.A.C.K. (Serving Needs And Caring for Kids) to our students who are in transition, meaning they do no have a permanent residence. These students may be living in cars, hotels or other locations and do not have access to some of the basic food and hygiene items. Once collected, the items are assembled, and the Counceling Team distributes the bags to students in need.

Donations can be dropped off at school until Friday, March 7th by 3:00PM.

Raiders in Action is a CRHS PTSA-sponsored service program that recognizes and rewards students for volunteering in the community.
